GPSMAP 4208
The power of networking meets the brilliance of great
design in this chartplotter, which serves as your
all-in-one "nerve center" for the Garmin Marine Network.
With an "8.4" diagonal VGA screen display, this unit
combines video-quality resolution and luminous color
with the latest in sensor and data options.
With its counterpart, the GPSMAP 4212, the 4208 includes
U.S. detailed offshore maps with Bluechart g2 coverage
of the USA and Bahamas.
See detail-rich imagery like never before
The GPSMAP 4208 features worldwide satellite imagery to
enhance the standard vector basemap format. This unit
also offers the optional BlueChart g2 Vision SD data
card, which provides high-resolution aerial reference
photos for help navigating tricky harbors and channels
or locating spots like area marinas, fuel stops or
restaurants. The g2 Vision plug-in data card also allows
the GPSMAP 4208 to graphically depict a true 3D
"mariners eye" topside view or "fish eye" underwater
navigation perspective.
Experience super simple user interface for easy
operation
With fewer buttons to push and fewer operational steps
to navigate, the GPSMAP 4208s simplified menu format
makes it easy for you to see and select the data you
want to access on-screen.
Simplify navigation with Auto Guidance
Optional g2 Vision auto guidance technology will help
simplify your navigation. Its like having a
knowledgeable guide to local hazards and waterways
always on deck. Auto Guidance searches all the chart
features to suggest the best known charted route for
navigation.
GSD 22
Add depth to your chartplotter view with the GSD 20
series remote sounders. The GSD 21, a powerful analog
sonar, along with the GSD 22, Garmin's first digital
sonar, are robust units designed to operate with
stand-alone chartplotters or integrate with the Garmin
CANet and Marine Networks.
The GSD 22 is a powerful remote sounder that plugs
directly into the Garmin Marine Network for use with our
network chartplotters or into the new Garmin CANet for
use with the 292/392/492 series chartplotters.
Ultrascroll technology keeps the display scrolling at
live-action speeds, while the units digital design and
up to 2 kW of transmit power (depending on transducer
used) provide extraordinary target definition and deep
water performance. Transmit power and receiver gain
automatically adjust to produce excellent shallow water
performance as well. The GSD 22 is dual frequency
(200/50 kHz) and works with everything from a standard
500 W transom mount transducer to heavy-duty 2 kW
thru-hull or in-hull transducers. Reaches depths to
5,000 feet.
Please Note: This product does not include a transducer.
Garmin offers a complete selection of transducers to be
purchased separately as accessories.
GDL 30A
With the addition of the GDL 30/30A weather data
receiver and a partnership with XM WX Satellite Weather,
Garmin is proud to bring real-time graphical weather
data coverage of the United States (except Alaska and
Hawaii) directly to Garmin marine chartplotters.
For the first time, mariners can access real-time
weather information for the United States directly on
the GPSMAP 3010C or GPSMAP 3006C using the GDL 30 no
need for a separate PC interface. The Garmin GDL 30
black box receiver is completely waterproof and part of
the new Garmin Marine Network, a plug-and-play system
that puts GPS, weather, sonar, radar and other important
data literally at a boater's fingertips.
United States weather information captured and processed
by the GDL 30 and GA 31 pole-mount antenna is directly
overlaid onto the 3010C and GPSMAP 3006C multifunction,
color displays. Users can overlay individual or combined
weather data screens, so they can see weather conditions
at their current location or along a projected path. The
GDL 30 and XM WX Satellite Weather service work to keep
boaters continually informed of changing weather
patterns, so they can make better-informed decisions and
spend more time enjoying the water.
XM WX Satellite Weather is the same leading, analytical
weather technology and data that is provided to
television meteorologists across the United States. It
relays a continuous transmission of 20 different types
of graphical weather information that can be overlaid on
the chartplotter.
For mariners wanting XM Satellite Radio in addition to
XM WX weather data, Garmin offers the GDL 30A which
provides a unique audio interface with the 3010C and
3006C allowing for connection to an on-board stereo.
Over 120 satellite radio channels of music, sports,
news, talk, and entertainment are delivered to these
chartplotters via the GDL 30A for an additional monthly
fee.
